General voting day is Saturday, October 17, 2026. Voting places are open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.. The District has published 22 voting places across the District; the map and the full list are on the District's voting page, linked below, and reproduced on this site's voting page.
You can vote at any voting place in the District on general voting day — you are not assigned to one. Pick the one that is easiest for you and go at a time you have decided in advance; people who choose a time are far more likely to vote.
Who can vote: you must be 18 or older on general voting day, a Canadian citizen, a resident of British Columbia for at least six months, and a resident of the District of North Vancouver for at least 30 days — or a registered owner of property in the District who lives elsewhere in BC, with some extra requirements. Bring two pieces of identification: at least one with your signature, and at least one showing your name and your District address. If you are not registered, you can register at the voting place with that identification.
If you cannot get to a voting place, the District sets its own rules each election for mail ballots and for accessible voting, including curbside voting and assistance at the voting place. Those rules are confirmed in the District's election bylaw, so check the District's voting page rather than relying on any campaign's summary — including this one.
Advance voting is on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, Saturday, October 10, 2026 and Monday, October 12, 2026, at the places the District has published for each day. If you might be away or busy on the 17th, vote early.
