What Max Zahedi proposes for Lynn Valley

Traffic and transportation Proposal
Lynn Valley Road and Mountain Highway are District roads. The one published construction calendar Max proposes — projects sequenced instead of overlapping, with dates announced in advance — applies here directly.
Housing and neighbourhoods Campaign priority
The Official Community Plan puts growth in Lynn Valley Town Centre. Max's position is that growth belongs in the designated centres, with roads, schools and utilities sequenced alongside it, so that the streets between the centres change less.

Every Lynn Valley household pays toward the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant through Metro Vancouver charges. Max's first priority is a line-by-line public account of how a $700 million estimate became $3.86 billion, and what that means on a District tax bill.

- Growth and infrastructure: I will ask for a public capacity check on pipes, roads, schools and transit, and, where the District has authority, phase discretionary growth with the upgrades it needs, while pressing the school district and TransLink on theirs.
- Kilmer Road: I will publish what safety measures are in place, what is outstanding and what the speed, crossing and collision data show, and act on the results.
- Eastview Park: I will act on documented noise, trail damage and parking problems through restoration, routing and enforcement while keeping the park open to the public.

Which neighbourhoods does this page cover?
Lynn Valley as the District of North Vancouver defines it on its own "In your neighbourhood" pages: Upper Lynn, Upper West Lynn, Lower West Lynn, Valley Centre, Central Lynn, Lynn Canyon, West Lynn Terrace, Boundary, Kirkstone. Central Lonsdale, Lower Lonsdale, Grand Boulevard and Calverhall are in the City of North Vancouver, a separate municipality that elects its own mayor and council on the same day. If you live there, this election is not yours — the City's is.
